What are TL Notes?

If you saw this category, unless you've watched fansubs back in the day, there's a good chance you haven't heard of TL Notes. So first of all, what even are TL Notes? TL Notes is actually an abbreviation for "translation notes" or "translator's notes." These notes are in subtitles (or in this case, on a support page) to help explain words that have mixed meanings, cultural references, and other things that aren't easily translatable to the target language.
So if you're using my subtitles and all of a sudden see text like "onii-san," well you now know exactly where to come.
